Animes are japanese cartoons but they are much more bloody and gorey and naghty than american cartoons

Rurouni Kenshin is a anime about a wandering samuri that has voiwed never to kill again. he eventuallymeets up with a girl named kauru and falls in love with her in the end.And he was known as the lengendary Battousai the manslayer so lots of people are after him so he has lots of adventures.There are 95 episodes and it is the fist on my anime list.  

Outlaw Star is about two people named jim hawking and Gene Starwind. they get a ship and they name it the outlaw star.they eventaully meet up with Zazuka, iasha, and hilda. the main plot is they are trying to find something called the gallactic leyline. there are 26 episodes and it is the second on my anime list.

Dragon Ball Z is about a human/alien goku he is a sayan sent to destroy earth. every body want to kill him. he meets up with krillen, gohan, chichi, and many mant more.it has lots and lots of episodes it is the 3 on my list of animes
